The ecological calendar projects

Antenna Theater has been producing Chris Hardman's beautiful ECOlogical Calendar since 2005. Instead of a grid-based calendar, the ECOlogical Calendar shows the days running from left to right, with tides, flora and fauna then the sky and stars represented above.
ECOtime, a series of radio pieces based on the calendar and narrated by Chris Hardman has been heard as part of Living on Earth on National Public Radio, as well as on Green 960am in the California Bay Area.
Please click to visit Living On Earth. This link takes you to the show that aired starting October 24th 2008, where you will find the first ECOtime to air on NPR.
Antenna is currently working with Robosoft Technologies to develop ECOcal, a version of the calendar for iPhone which will be available in December 2008. ECOcal is an immersive daily calendar of the Earth and sky with extensive scientific information about astronomical and terrestrial events. Users of ECOcal will be able to tap on the detailed images of animals and plants to read about how they adapt to winter's cold or summer's heat, zoom in on a constellation to see the magnitude of a star, or scroll through the Sky Chart to find out when the next meteor shower will peak.
Please visit www.ecocalendar.info for information on the ECOlogical Calendar projects.
