Chris Hardman (Artistic Director) has created over 30 theatrical happenings since founding Antenna on the Sausalito waterfront in 1980. Chris began his career designing funhouses on Coney Island, and working as a performer and fabricator for Bread and Puppet Theatre in Vermont. After relocating to the West Coast, he co founded Snake Theater, where for the next eight years he served as Artistic Director, designer, and mask maker. While on an airplane trip to Europe, Chris discovered the unique experience of "Walkmonology," and began applying its principles to the theatrical experience. Since then, Antenna has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and Mexico, and has won several awards for its original work, including six Bay Area Critics Circle Awards.
