Antenna Theater 
is Proud to Announce the
Creation of The Post Normal World

 
We are inventing and producing theater for a Post-Normal world
 
 Normal is over. The Covid-19 Virus killed it. 
 
People are beginning to  
understand their attempt to return to Normalcy 
is an act of denial. 
We have walked through the door into a Post-Normal world and there is no walking this back. We wear masks and gloves now, who knows what's next.
 
Recently some scientists proclaimed this period of geological earth-time as the Anthropocene or "human era", a world almost completely created by human manipulation. To some, earth domination is seen as the proper outcome to our "glorious" human endeavor.
 
But that was Then- 
and this is 
Now.
 
 In the Post-Normal world the idea that we can build a human-managed world based on the use/misuse of the natural world is over. The Earth has spoken:
" Your Normal is normal no longer."  
 
The Covid pandemic may be the first global event to shake our sense of entitlement, but it will not be the last, not the pandemic, not the last forest fire nor the last hurricane or flood.
Things will mix up in ways unimaginable in the Post Normal world.
 

We are The Institute of Post-Normal, we will respond to and integrate with the Post-Normal world. We will create theater that is about life in the Post-Normal world and can be safely performed in the Post-Normal world. 
 
And we have some ideas about what this means. But instead of an explanation; 
come experience for yourself. 
 
We will be producing two Covid-safe theater productions in the near future:
 The Heart of San Francisco and The New Calafian Era.
